Saturday

Today has been a pretty good day. I was able to go out to eat with my sister at El Patio in Bristol. Really, really love this Mexican Restaurant. After that we went to the movies to see Valentine's Day with my friend Kelly. I really loved this movie and we laughed just about all the way through it. Plus the theatre was packed and I could hear others laughing and their reactions to certain parts. I would have loved to have a picture of all the people in the theatre but I'm sure it would have been a little weird. Plus I would have looked funny taking my camera in there. LOL! Afterwards my sister and I went to Starbucks. For some reason we have been hooked on it any time we go to Bristol. We both got a White Chocolate Mocha Venti. It was good. Probably a little bit too much caffeine though. But it was worth it.

I almost took my camera with me today. You never know when there will be a perfect picture opportunity. But as I stepped outside to the strong wind and freezing temperature, I kind of forgot about it. But tomorrow, or should I say today because it's after 12, is another day and hopefully I'll be able to get some type of picture.

I'm really looking forward to Spring and being able to get out there in the warm weather and get some pictures. Try different angle's and shot's with my camera. Just to see what happens and what I can do. Plus I heard we're suppose to get some more snow and cold weather, therefore the Spring can't get here soon enough.

I also got some good news today. One of best friends asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. I was so happy and of course I told her yes! After her wedding that will be a total of 4 wedding's I will have been a bridesmaid in. I'm looking forward to it!

This a picture of me and my younger sister Lindsey. It was taken on Tuesday February 9th, 2010.

First Posting

Photography is a passion that is growing inside of me. I absolutely love to take pictures and I have ever since I can remember. For some reason I really like photos of scenery. I can be driving down the road and see the sun setting and think to myself, that would make a wonderful picture. But it is hard to use my Nikon D40 and drive down the road. It was easier with my smaller camera but I wouldn't trade my Nikon for anything now.

Some people say that I should take more pictures of people because you can see how they change over the years. I know that is true but sometimes I like working with a subject that doesn't move or put their own input in. But I do have my moments when I do take pictures of people. Just depends on my mood. I am trying to take more people pictures though.

This picture I took on Tuesday February 2nd, 2010. This building sits right below my house. For some reason every time it snows I always take a picture of it. It was my papaw's building that he worked in. I've always called it the shop, as does everyone else in my family. Anytime that my papaw wasn't at home he could be found at the shop working on something. Once he passed away it was hard to think about the shop with him not in it. But I have my many memories of the shop and papaw.

This building is still standing and is still in the family and I can take as many pictures of it as I want and any time I want.
